Dr. Shinebarger
Dr. Shinebarger is a native of the area, born and raised in Hornell, NY.  He wanted to return to Western New York after his dental training in an effort to give back to his local community.  His career began at Dansville Dental Professionals in early 2009, before transitioning to Hornell Dental Professionals in 2015. After 2 years, he is now the proud owner of Hornell Family Dental.

Dr. Shinebarger and his wife Erin were married in 2011.  They have two children Carson and Preston, along with two dogs.  Active interests include reading, watching sports, astronomy, and restoring their home.

Dr. Shinebarger received extensive post-graduate training during his AEGD residency at Virginia Commonwealth University.  His AEGD training included all areas of general dentistry, such as the restoration of implants (implant supported dentures, bridges, and crowns), periodontal surgery, root canal therapy, and advanced cosmetic procedures such as crown lengthening and porcelain veneers.  Dr. Shinebarger actively participates in all areas of continuing education and is an active member of The Academy of General Dentistry.

Dental Hygienist
Heather is a lifelong resident of Hornell.  She began her career as an assistant with Dr. Jack Hollowell over 20 years ago, and after a short time decided to pursue her dental hygiene degree.  As a dental hygienist for over 17 years, Heather has been loyal to our wonderful patients for 11 years.

She and her husband Chris have 2 daughters, Gabriella and Marrionna, who keep them busy with YMCA, church, and school activities.  Heather loves being a mother and enjoys time spent with her family.

Office Manager
As an office manager with over 7 years experience in the dental field, Erica will be one of the first people in our office you will meet.  She will schedule your appointments, help with insurance, answer any questions regarding billing, and make sure your visit in our office exceeds your expectations.

Erica was born and raised in Dansville, close to all the beautiful lakes and her family.  Following high school, she graduated from Monroe Community College with a Travel &Tourism and Hospitality Management degree.  In her spare time, she loves spending time with her boyfriend Dan, and their pets. They have adopted 2 animals, their cat Kobi and dog Bella.  She also enjoys motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, fishing, and golfing.  Most importantly, she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Dental Assistant 
With 20 years of experience in the dental industry, Betsy's skill and knowledge brings your quality of care to a whole new level.  Let her show you what exceeding expectations looks like.

She has been a surgical assistant in the oral surgery and periodontal fields, as well as working with pediatric and general dentists.  Dr. Shinebarger is truly fortunate to have her chairside as his assistant.

Betsy is CPR certified, and enjoys working with all the new technologies as they develop and become available.  In her free time, Betsy enjoys spending time with her son Conner.  Her hobbies include: camping, fishing, kayaking, and golfing.
Dental Assistant
With an early developed passion for the dental field, Jessica has over 3 years experience as a dental assistant, assisting both of our hygienists and our Doctor.  Not only does she assist with our providers, she helps cover the front desk, handles technology issues, and manages our website.

Jessica was born in Texas and grew up in the western states, graduating with an advanced diploma from Nevada.  Still working full time in our office, Jessica is continuing her education at Monroe Community College to obtain her dental hygiene degree.  In her spare time, Jessica enjoys drinking coffee, traveling with her boyfriend Jeffrey, and keeping in contact with her family and friends out west.
Dental Hygienist 
Gail has been practicing dental hygiene for 35 years, with just a short break to stay home to raise her children.  Her first job was in Canandaigua and she has been gradually moving South to now end up in Hornell with Dr. Shinebarger.

She is married to her husband Sam, and they have 3 grown and married children, and 8 grandchildren. Gardening and quilting are some of her hobbies, along with bicycling, and being a grandmother. Her passion as a dental hygienist is to educate, encourage, and come alongside her patients to bring them to a healthy oral environment.
